**** my cousin Troy wrote this little poem for my Grandma and it just suits her well! its very comforting and humorous! He read at the Grave dedication and it's great. i wanted to share!****
Hello Grandma,
The time has come for you to go,
With god and Grandpa of this we know.
We'll miss you old girl and we might cry,
But we envy you up there in the sky.
The time has come and what can we say,
You are not gone you are just away.
You've waited so long to see your man,
Now Grandpa and you are hand in hand.
And through the sad this makes us smile,
And it calms our tears for a little while.
We wish you were here to make us some rolls,
But we know you've accomplished all of your goals.
So we'll look back to the days of old,
And my how those memories will unfold.
We know you can see us from up there above,
As we sit and remember how you showed us love.
You were eager and selfless when you were here.
And you fought like the devil for what you held dear.
You taught us all to be good folks,
And you lived through all your sons jokes.
You raised many a babe from diapers to jeans,
And you'de sew up the stitches when they split at the seams.
You gave all your children affection and love,
Or even a whippin' when push came to shove.
Alot of the trouble that Lakeside's been through.
You know its your fault, those kids came from you.
You came to be known far and wide,
If not on your own then by your families pride.
For a girl from Snowflake you accomplished great deeds,
You started a legacy from dirt and seeds.
We'll remember you always wherever you go,
Because you're part of summer and your part of snow.
And when the wind blows it will say your name,
And when the rain falls it will do the same.
The seasons and reasons for you in our hearts,
They fill up our buckets, they fill up our carts.
Lets not say goodbye for goodbye's just too sad,
Lets just say hello when we meet again and be glad!
