OK OK, i have some explaining to do! Basically.. im going to SHOCK you all...
Umm Yesterday, Monday March 16,2009 i had a little run in with the law enforcement! haha ... I started my journey to lakeside, az to visit my family!Well, i was rolling down a hill in Heber at 64, in a 45..didnt realize it because i had just slowed way down. you all know how rolling down hills are..and SO the next thing i know.. i get pulled over! and the Officer told me why, said he was going to write my ticket and i would be on my way.. and well.. he came back.. REALLY MAD. He asked me for my social security number in a very demanding manner and i was nervous, so i got the first three numbers wrong..and he told me that was BULLSHIT and that i needed to step out of my vehicle that i was under arrest. He told me there was a warrant out for my arrest. and I kept asking what for and the officer kept just telling me that i knew why i was in trouble..and i kept saying that i really didnt know.. Then i kept asking when i would get my phone call! i needed to call my parents. I finally just shut up because the officer was being such a jerk to me. I have never been so mis treated in my entire life. .. Anyways.. to clear this all up... i Had a warrant for my arrest from a ticket that i had forgotten to take care of in january. So.. i got taken in:(.... i have never felt so scared in my entire life. Here i am crying, and thinking there is nothing else i can do. so i kept praying .. for a calm heart, and to be strong. And immediately after a word of prayer, the officer started changing his tone with me, and he took my cell phone and let me call my mom! They took me to the office in heber, and they just kept saying i needed to be transported to the jail in holbrook to be processed, unless my parents would be able to post $450 bail in show low. Well since they could, i only had to get transported to show low, but a completely different officer. This officer was much nicer to me!He also explained to me that they are trained to beleive that nothing is the truth! so that is why the other officer was so hard on me..but, I even had a little missionary experience with this other guy! He asked me if the picture on my phone was the mesa as temple... and i said yes it was! and asked him if he was a member, praying that he was! and he wasnt, but he had been an investigator before.. so he kept asking me alot of questions..and made me feel alot more comfortable. When we arrived in Show low, he was supposed to lock me in a small cell in the back, but he didnt because i was being completley cooperative. He just put me in a nice room, cuffed me to the chair until my dad was able to be there, which was not long after. So all in all, the lord started SAVING ME through this whole experience! Because i can not even imagine how i would have felt having to be sent to holbrook and acutally processed into a jump suit. It was the scariest thing of my entire life, and ill probably never drive again! haha.. moral of the story is... SLOW DOWN! ... This was not a fun experience, but now today as i wake up and thank the lord that i am ok.. i think it is funny and i am able to laugh about it! My family has had alot of fun with it too, especially my brother now that he knows im not the perfect child anymore! haha.. My Aunt Shawn made me cookies and said she would sneak them under my door for me since my mom had told her earlier she was only going to feed me bread and water like a criminal!.. So HAHAHA FUNNY! Kilie went to Jail! ..... Handcuffs arent really my thing! haha.. Im soo greatful the spirit was with me the whole time, and that i was able to rely on my heavenly father, although i was rediculously humbled!!
so ... EVERYBODY!! LAUGH!!!! please!! haha.. im not a bad person!! I although i do however think that if your going to get arrested, dont do it SPEEDING! thats the lame non exciting way to be arrested!! ... haha and a lame way to start your spring break!!

You're awesome. Only you could take a situation like this and make it into something positive. :) You may not know it, but I learn a lot from you!
Kilie! That is TOO funny! I bet that was soo scary though, oh my goodness girl. I'm sorry that cop was such a jerk to you! Oh man, that's a good story for the kids some day.. :)

Even I've never been arrested and handcuffed. I laughed my toosh off reading this. ha ha ha. I can just see Aunt Shawn making cookies for you too. She's probably had to do it for a few other Gillespie's at one time or another.
I'm glad you are ok though. You'll have a good story to tell for a long time.
Just to see you in handcuffs would have completely made my day. Nic and I are sitting here reading this little incident, LAUGHING OUR BUTTS OFF!!! Oh, to be a fly in the room. Glad you are safe. We would have came to Holbrook to visit!!!

Ok Kilie...the whole vision in my mind of you sitting there handcuffed to a chair was too funny. Of course it was scary at the time, but you can laugh about it now, right? I sure hope so, because I laughed much too hard. Haha! Hope things are good with you! By the way, I found your blog through Annie's and I love it!
